DEFOE READY TO WIN SILVERWARE
Jermain Defoe has said that he is ready to make up for lost time that he suffered due to injury and wants to win a silverware this season. To make matters worse for the prolific forward, he then got sent-off at Aston Villa and received a three-match ban. But he is now back from suspension and is desperate to secure his place in the first-team.
Defoe wasted no time getting back among the goals when he netted a brace against Charlton in the FA Cup last Sunday and is now hoping he can help Tottenham have a memorable end to the season.
Defoe said: "It has been a stop start season for me. I don't think I have had a season like this when I have missed so many games.
"I didn't have a pre-season because of the summer [World Cup]. I got back from injury and then got suspended.
